Return of the Crocus!

“All Nature seems at work.  Slugs leave their lair
The bees are stirring, birds are on the wing,
And Winter slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of spring.”
–   Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Almost overnight, the crocus reappeared, dressing my wintery backyard in shades of purple. In a couple of blinks, Spring will be here. I’m ready – aren’t you?

  1. This photo is absolutely beautiful! I love seeing it because my crocuses always die too soon. They come up and bloom and then we get a freeze and they are gone. So, now I can look at your photo to take their place!
