Busy as a Bee

Work to me is a sacred thing.
– Margaret Bourke-White (1904–1971), a well-known photographer for Life magazine. She continued to work long after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which eventually took her life.

This pollen-heavy bee was preparing for liftoff when I spotted it on the leaf of a sunflower this morning.

  1. That is really stunning, Bonnie. Just dark enough in the overall tone that you find yourself leaning into it to catch it all. Beautiful!

  2. That is one busy bee! Just covered in pollen!

I love that you like to photograph these kinds of things. Another female photograher that loves to photograph BUGS! I love bugs… Bugs are so exquisitely put together. Wonders of nature. Bees and Hover Flies especially capture my attention.
