In the Garden #8

In summer, the song sings itself.
– William Carlos Williams

When I was a child, one of my favorite tv shows was “Land of the Giants,” where kids found themselves lost in an oversized world. The graphics of that weekly show depicted flowers as huge, colorful umbrellas. Blades of grass dripped with dew, and dropped to the ground with a sound like a thunderclap. Part of my fascination with macrophotography stems from that childlike sense of wonder.

  1. We got that show here in Australia too, and I enjoyed it; it fed my imagination and showed possibilities. This is a lovely shot! ;o)
