Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else? ~Betsy Cañas Garmon
Purple columbine grow in my sister’s front yard. I love how each one hangs at a different angle on its stalk. I was sitting on her porch swing one morning with my camera, when this blossom caught my attention. Soft morning light had tiptoed through a nearby shrub, illuminating the flower. I slipped down onto the sidewalk and pointed my lens up, to capture its stamen as well as those luscious petals. It was one of those moments when lightplay and color seemed to come together just right.

So softly beautiful! Good to see on this grey winter day!
