Crocus in Black and White
For age and want save while you may; for no morning sun last a whole day. - Benjamin Franklin

Return of the Crocus!
“All Nature seems at work. Slugs leave their lair
The bees are stirring, birds are on the wing,
And Winter slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of spring.”
- Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Almost overnight, the crocus reappeared, dressing my wintery backyard in shades of purple. In a couple of blinks, Spring will be here. I’m ready – aren’t you?
